STEVENS, SUE -- Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 8, 2007 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, for Sue Stevens, age 86, of Roswell, who passed away January 4, 2007, at a local nursing home. Pastor Jim Reeves of Church on the Move will conduct the service. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Sue was born August 29, 1920 in Orland, California, to Bruce and Ida Mary Bone Gregory. Both parents preceded her in death, as well as a son, Mark Stevens..

She married Cecil Stevens in Marietta, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death also.

Survivors include 3 sons; Ron Stevens and his wife Tammy of Houston, Larry Stevens and his wife Margie of Roswell, and Darrell Stevens of Roswell. Also surviving is a brother, James Gregory of Huntsville, Texas and a sister, Dorothy Whisenant, Stephenville, Texas, and eight grandchildren; Lori, Shawn, Heather, Bryan, Brandi, Jeff, Crystal and Tiffany..

Sue was a homemaker, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Sue was a wonderful, loving Wife, Mother and Nina. She had many talents, was an outstanding cook, an artist, and loved working in the garden. We will dearly miss her.

After becoming legally blind she attended the Leader Dog School in Michigan. Casey, her dog was not only her eyes but her best friend.

Pallbearers will be Joe Oldfield, Brandon Welborn, Clayton Jasper, Jeff Stevens, Adam Lee and Waylon Holman.
