Helen Woods

WOODS, HELEN MORRINE -- Services are scheduled for 11:30 AM, Saturday, July 21, 2007, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, for Helen Morrine Woods, age 90, who passed away July 18, 2007,at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Helen was a devoted Christian all her life and a resident of Roswell since 1959. Pastor Brent Allender, of Church on the Move will conduct the service. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Helen was born February 12, 1917 in Haskell, Texas to Walter and Rhoda Nelson Copeland.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, and 2 siblings, James Nelson and Odessa B. Mercer.

Survivors include 3 sons; Claude C. Woods, Michigan, David N. Woods, Louisiana, and Daniel R. Woods, Roswell and 2 daughters; Marcia Jessup, Roswell and Sharon A. Blair, of Virginia. Also surviving is 1 brother; Walter Lee Copeland and 2 sisters; Willie E. Shepperd, and Marie P. Martin, 10 grandchildren, Chris Jessup, Chad Jessup, Crystal Woods, Jason Blair, Lori Blair, Kelsey Blair, Paul Woods, Michael Woods, Amanda Woods and Tom Woods, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad Jessup, Chris Jessup, Jason Blair, Tommy Woods, Terry Jessup, Bob Blair.
