H. P. Hale was born July 10, 1930, and passed away July 10, 2024. He was born and lived in Roswell, NM until his retirement. He owned and an operated a trucking business his entire life starting at age 18 when he purchased his first truck. He depended on God’s Word and instilled the same faith with his children and following generations. In Roswell, he served for 10 years in the bus ministry at Gateway Church, and later moved to Ruidoso, NM, where he was a member of First Baptist Church.
During the last 4 years, H.P. lived in Mesa, AZ with his daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Rob Barnett. Charlie and Sandra Hale, his son and daughter-in-law live in Plano, TX. He was proceeded in death by his first wife, Freida, in 2006, and Ann, his second wife, in 2022. And he is survived by his 2 children, 5 grandchildren, their spouses, and 13 great grandchildren. One of his favorite pastimes is going out for his morning coffee with Rob and the coffee guys, and calling each of his children, grandchildren, and their spouses to wish them a happy birthday and tell them how much he loves them. People who knew him, knew he was a man of God with strength, love and integrity.
H. P. will be buried next to Freida Hale at South Park Cemetery in Roswell, NM, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, where his father, Hansford Hale, and his mother, Zella Hale are also laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to First Baptist Church in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
