SHANNON, INA NADINE Service are scheduled for Ina Nadine Shannon, age 91, of Roswell, Monday, August 20, 2007, at 1:00 P.M., LaGrone Funeral Chapel. She passed away August 17, 2007 at a local hospital.

Nadine was born to Ira and Winnie Mae Pirtle Hendricks on January 2, 1916, in Faxon, Oklahoma. She married Carl Shannon, June 25, 1933 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1998.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Shannon of Roswell and daughter Sharon Brinker also of Roswell. Also surviving her are one brother, Earl Hendricks and one sister, Hazel Holland, nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Nell Moore, brother Charles Hendricks and sister, Maurine Copeland.

Mrs. Shannon lived and worked on the farm for many years before working at Anthonys in the material department for 15 years and then at K-Mart for 15 years before retiring. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Roswell.

Pallbearers will be members of Tabernacle Baptist Church that she knew for many years.

Services are under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel.
