Jack Darrough passed away December 22, 2015 in Bristow, Oklahoma.
Jack Darrough was born June 29, 1933 in Stonewall, Oklahoma to Harry Burford Darrough, Sr. and Lola Lenore (Null) Darrough. He passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 near Bristow, Oklahoma at the age of 82.
Mr. Darrough married Rosemary Busby on August 12, 1951 in Dexter, New Mexico. He retired after 30 years of employment with the United States Geological Survey and also worked as a rancher. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially holding and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Darrough was also a member of the Boston Avenue Methodist Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Jack enjoyed serving as a member of the National Guard. He also loved to play basketball and bowling with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one half-sister, Nell Bowlby.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Darrough of Bristow; two sons, Malcolm Darrough and wife Marilyn of Bristow and Steven Darrough and wife Lillie of Tulsa; one daughter, Debra Ball and husband Michael of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one brother, Harry Darrough, Jr. and wife Joyce of Roswell, New Mexico; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
