FERRELL, JAMES HAROLD Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at South Park Cemetery for James Harold Ferrell, age 86 of Roswell, who passed away June 8, 2012. Pastor Bob Williams of First Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Harold was born June 7, 1926 in Glen Alum, West Virginia to Willie and Ava Ferrell. Both parents have preceded him in death.
Harold married Helen Gallaher on July 21, 1951 in Huntington, West Virginia. She survives him at the family home.
Other survivors include sons: Mark Edward Ferrell and his wife Catherine of Stafford, Virginia, and John Andrew Ferrell of Albuquerque, New Mexico brothers: Denver Ferrell of Knoxville, Tennessee and Michael Ferrell of Columbus, Ohio three grandchildren: Georgia Ferrell of Stafford, Virginia, Trisha Steiniger of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Sierra Ferrell of Sarasota, Florida and one great grandchild: Noah Ferrell.
Harold worked as a salesman at the Roswell Livestock and Farm Supply. He previously worked at Whites and Valley Chevrolet. He was a Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church. He was also past treasurer for the local American Legion. Harold served in the United States Navy during WWII. He also earned a BS in Geology from Marshall University, in Huntington, West Virginia.
