GILMER, JAMES WALTER Graveside Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 1, 2007, at South Park Cemetery for James Gilmer, age 95, of Roswell, who passed away February 21, 2007 at his residence. Pastor James Kuemmerle of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate, assisted by the Roswell Masonic Low 12 Club. All Master Masons please assemble at South Park Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
James was born January 15, 1912 in Warm Springs, Montana to Jacob and Selma Broberg Gilmer. He is preceded in death by his parents
James married Arabel Wirth, in Sunbury, PA in 1953. She preceded him in death, September 14, 1996.
Survivors included his caretakers for over six years, LeRoy and Jolene Goins of Roswell.
James received his Electrical Engineering degree at Montana State College in Bozeman.. He was an electrical engineer for Walker Air Force Base. He was instrumental in installing the lightening at the Walker Air Force Base. James was a life member of the Masons, BPOE Elks Lodge and the Shriners.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Roswell Hospice and Homecare at 1107 South Main, Roswell, New Mexico 88203.
