James Petty

PETTY, JAMES RICHARD JIMFuneral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Monday April 7, 2014 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for James Richard Jim Petty, age 47, of Roswell who passed away on April 1, 2014. Pastor Lonnie Owen of Christs Church and Pastor Jim Suttle of Calvary Chapel will officiate with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.
Jim was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 22, 1966 to James H. Petty and Frankie E. Parks. His father has preceded him in death as well as a brother Dwight Petty.
Jim married Tier Huckins on March 4, 1989 in Outpost, CA. She survives him at the family home.
Jim is also survived by his daughter: Shadoe Petty of Roswell and two grandchildren: Hunter Wilson and Xander Warick.
Jim was a member of Calvary Chapel, he was very active in his church. He was a truck driver for over thirty years. Jim was a big supporter of the 4H and the POWS, which his dad was a POW of the Korean War. Jim took Disabled Veterans to their appointments to the VA Hospital. Jim had a big heart and loved lots of people and they loved him. He was a loving husband, dad and papa. He will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Troy Danley, Mark Raney, Matt Rogers, Luis Fierro, Kenny Warick and Randall Jones.
