Janice Hayes

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., on Monday, November 18, 2013 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Janice L. Hayes, age 78, of Roswell, who passed away on November 12, 2013. Pastor Randy Reeves will officiate with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.

Janice will lay in state Sunday, November 17, 2013 from noon to 7:00 p.m.
Janice was born June 17, 1935 in Graham, Oklahoma to George T. and Vera Lee Harris Rozzell upon her mothers death God granted her another good and kind mother, Ruby Mae Rozzell. They all have preceded her in death as well as two sisters Foy Montgomery and Vickie McConnell.

Janice married Louis A. Hayes on February 16, 1951 in Roswell. She was a military wife for 24 years, they were stationed at Walker AFB, Maine, Florida, California, Morocco and two tours to England. He preceded her in 2007.

Janice worked for Avionics Enterprises for approximately five years. Then Louis, Janice, Barbara Tyler and the Late Howard Dotts founded DTH Enterprises, where she worked until 1995. They sold the business and retired.

Janice enjoyed her turtles, gardening, flowers and her family.

Janice is survived by two sons: Rick Hayes of Albuquerque, NM and Terry Hayes and his wife Faye of Roswell brother: George Rozzell and his wife Kay of Oklahoma and Ken Rozzell of Iowa sisters: Loretta Lippard of Roswell, Iva Jo Hendrix of Roswell and Elaine Dagle of North Carolina Grandchildren: Adam Hayes and his wife Julie, Ian Hayes, Harmony Hayes, Raiff Hayes and Alicia Chavez and her husband Derrick numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers will be Michael Sarto, Jack Montgomery, Jim Montgomery, Don Traves, Adam Hayes, and Terry Hayes. Honorary pallbearers are Ian Hayes, Sharon Shumway and Raiff Hayes.
