VAN WINKLE, JESSE DONALDBorn in Roswell, New Mexico September 5, 1926, passed away to Heaven November 27, 2008. Parents were Jesse P. Van Winkle and Myrtle A. McFarland Van Winkle. Both preceded him along with sisters, Vera Smith, Mary Mahan, Mildred Katie Brantley, Nina Downs, Viola Johnson, and a brother Fred Van Winkle. His children are Jesse Ted Van Winkle, Harvey George Van Winkle, and Paul Dan Van Winkle. Don had ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He spent the early and latter parts of his life in Roswell. He moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1968 and worked for the Tucson Medical Center as a grounds keeper for approximately twenty-five years until retirement.

Don was a member of First Baptist Church in Roswell. A graveside service will be held at South Park Cemetery at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday on December 3, 2008.

The family wishes to express profound gratitude for loving care to the staff of Vista Care and Mission Arch Care Center provided to him.
