Jessie Hastings

HASTINGS, JESSIE MAEJessie Mae Miller Hastings passed from this earth peacefully early June 26, 2012. She was born September 14, 1928 in Post, Texas to parents Jessie J. Miller Father and Willa Mae Miller Mother. She was to married Edward Laurence Hastings on July 31, 1948 until his passing in 1992. Jessie was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband of 43 years, brother Charles Leon Miller and sister La Verne Peters. She is survived by two sisters Hazel Savage and Darlene Wyche, of Roswell, three brothers William Sam Miller Alamogordo, NM, James Miller and wife Ellonia Arlington, TX and Robert Miller and wife Kathy Glendale, AZ and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jessie and Eds sons Raymond Bryant and wife Robin, Peoria AZ, and Larry Wayne and wife Sharon Farmington NM, the five grandchildren Heather and husband Joe, Michael and wife Jessica, Natasha, Amanda, Ariel, and one greatgranddaughter Kelsie, will carry her memory in their hearts.
Jessie was a beloved sister, friend, wife, mother and grandmother, she spoiled her grandchildren by making them peach cobbler and fried pies. She held many offices including Noble Grand and District Deputy Representative of the I.O.O.F. Rebeccas for over 50 years , and an active member of the DOES organization until her passing. She loved to work crossword puzzles, travel with her sisters, and watching soap operas she will be dearly missed by all.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and entire staff of the second floor of Lovelace Regional Hospital for helping us through this difficult time. Your kindness and help was appreciated by all her family and friends.
Jessies final care is in the hands of LaGrone. A celebration of her life will take place Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Villa Park Community Clubhouse on 23rd street at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Dogs for the Deaf organization at http:www.dogsforthedeaf.orgbpodoes or your local BPO Does organization.
