Joe Renfro, Jr.

RENFRO, JR. JOE BERT Memorial services are scheduled for 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at First United Methodist Church for Joe Bert Renfro, Jr., age 94, of Roswell, who passed away on July 16, 2011. Rev. Gorton Smith of First United Methodist Church will officiate.

Joe was born on February 17, 1917 in Birmingham, Alabama to Joe and Gladys Renfro. They have both preceded him in death as well as two daughters, Mari and Linda, his first wife, Mary, and brother, William C. Renfro.

Joe married Barbara Drake Walley on February 17, 1997 in Point Loma, CA. She survives him at the family home.

Joe was a Naval Officer and then an Educator.

He is survived by sons: Joe B. Renfro the III, of Whittier, CA, David M. Walley of Albuquerque, NM daughters: Carol Schultz of Chula Vista, CA, Sandra Garcia of Corrales, NM and Leona Forsyth of Phoenix, AZ Seven Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren.
