John Benjamin Eisenbise Jr. was a proud and patriotic American, serving as a US Navy Boiler Engineer on the USS John McCain during the Vietnam war. His time of service included war time of the Vietnam war. After his honorable Discharge he reenlisted in the US Army National Guard. During his time, he received two Bronze Stars and a National Defense Service Award.
John was born in Savannah Illinois, April 29, 1947. John was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin J Eisenbise and June L Eisenbise. John is survived by his bride of 54 years, Margaret Farnum Eisenbise; one daughter, Laura Munden, her husband James of Canyon Lake, TX; son, Benjamin J Eisenbise, his wife Stacie of Marlin, TX. John adored his grandchildren. Quinnley Briar of Kalamazoo, Patrick Munden of New Braunfels, and Tyler Eisenbise of Marlin TX. Through their son’s marriage John was blessed with 2 additional grands, Brittany and Joel and 2 great-grands, Colton and Emma with one on the way.
John went to be with the Lord after a short battle with Brain Cancer on May 13, 2021 in his home. John passed away just hours after receiving last rights by Father Charlie of St Peter's Church.
John loved nature and was perfectly content living miles from civilization. He sat at the window of their home in Hondo and gaze out at the mountains looking for deer, elk, and other wildlife. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and archery. He collected Eagles, American Flags and John Wayne memorabilia. He adopted his beloved companion Rusty who remained faithful and by his side till the end.
John savored time watching old western movies especially those with John Wayne. John loved his family and enjoyed their visits.

Visitation for John will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 19, 2021at LaGrone Funeral Chapel with graveside to follow at General Douglas McBride Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors
