John Maleski

February 23, 1958 — September 2, 2018

MALESKI, JOHN DEAN- John Dean Maleski passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday afternoon at 4:35 PM, September 2nd, 2018. John was the son of Bernard Maleski and Helen Lee Archer Maleski, and was born in Cambridge, Ohio on February 23rd, 1958. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Charlotte Ruth Maleski. John was the beloved husband of Lori Jeanne Maleski for 27 years. John was the father of Dean Maleski and his wife Tatiana Gurrola-Maleski of Roswell, NM, Michelle Maleski Hannahs and fiance Charles Withrow Jr. of Cambridge, OH, Jodie Maleski Seresun and her husband Joe Seresun of Byesville, OH, Mike Maleski of Cambridge, OH and John Maleski-Ferguson and his wife Courtney Ferguson of Byesville, OH. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Braden, Trenton, Brooklyn, Khloe, Charles III, Aaden, Leah and Luke.

John was a very simple, kind-hearted man. He was a jack of all trades, and was a master of every single one of them. If it could be fixed, he could fix it. If it could be built, he could build it. If he didn't know how, he would learn. He made many friends wherever he went, and never knew a stranger. He was a family man, and made sure his family didn't want for anything.

He lived all over the country in states such as Florida, Ohio and Rhode Island, among others when his mother and father moved around for work. While living and working in Florida for Reliance Plumbing, due to him being trusted and as good as he was at what he did, Disney would ask for him by name. Florida is also where he met his love of his life, Lori in 1989. While living in Ohio, he found and restored the family Willy's Jeep that was purchased by his Uncle Starling Tolley new in 1953. He acquired it from a good friend, Jack Hatcher. In Rhode Island, he put the finishing touches on the Willy's.

When he was a child, his parents would take him on vacation to places such as Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. He loved the Land of Enchantment and decided to settle in New Mexico with his family in 2006. During that time he made many great friends, some considered to be like family. For John's and Lori's twentieth wedding anniversary they renewed their vows, with friends and family present at the Brady Ranch in Hagerman in 2011.

There will be a private ceremony held for John on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Ceremony will be officiated by Pastor Tim Artlet. If anyone wished to send flowers to the family, please send them to LaGrone Funeral Chapel.
