Johnny Hanson

HANSON, JOHNNY CARLJohnny Carl Hanson, age 80, of Roswell passed away on August 6th, 2014, in Roswell. He was born April 18th, 1934 in Hagerman, New Mexico to Allen B. and Nadine Mann Hanson.

He was one of two children. Johnny was a member of Grace Community Church. He was a draftsman for Southwestern Public Service and loved painting, traveling, and gardening.

He is survived by 1 daughter, Polly Young of San Antonio, TX, 1 son, John Allen Hanson of Colorado Springs, CO 4 grandchildren Crystal Hickerson, Jeremiah Young, Kacey Young, and Kara Young 2 greatgrandchildren, Elle and Billie Day Hickerson a sister, Karma Tankersley and his nephews and nieces, Elaine, and her husband, Scott Smith and their daughter Kelly Smith of Roswell, NM, Jerry and Cindy Tankersley of Albuquerque, NM.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11th, 2014 at 2:00 PM at LaGrone Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rick Hale officiating. Interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
