Joshua Kamas

Joshua Poco Kamas A memorial Mass is scheduled for Monday November 15, 2010 at 12:10pm at the Assumption Catholic Church for Josh Kamas, Age 33, of Roswell, New Mexico, who passed away November 6, 2010 in Houston, Texas.
Josh was born October 23, 1977 in Wisconsin, to Jerome and Souad Kamas. He is survived by his father Jerome and his mother and stepfather Souad and Kenneth Letcher, his brother Dominic Kamas, of Artesia New Mexico and sister Bridget Kamas, her husband Mike Reiland and their children Alexandra and Thomas of Hugo Minnesota and his Aunt, Uncles and cousins in Lebanon.
Josh is preceded in death by his grandparents Shafic and Edma Sila, and his best friend Richard Ricky Krasowsky.
Josh obtained his B.S. in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from New Mexico Tech in May of 2005. He then began his career with Marathon Oil Company in Houston, TX, as a Drilling Engineer, which included assignments in the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa and the continental US. Josh continued to support his alma mater by working with the American Association of Drilling Engineers AADE to provide funding for continuing education classes and the establishment of an AADE student chapter.

Josh enjoyed traveling abroad, especially to his mothers homeland of Lebanon. He also enjoyed snowboarding, being with friends, his mothers great cooking and staying close with family, especially his niece and nephew. Josh had always brought a smile to those who knew him. As a light has gone out with his passing, he will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, helping those around him, his fun loving attitude and his mischievous smile. You will be missed greatly, but never ever forgotten.

The memory of Josh will be honored by memorials in his name and may be mailed to Souad Letcher, PO BOX 1942 Roswell, New Mexico 88202. Monies will be donated to a charity in Lebanon providing education and medical services for under privileged children.
