Juanita Valdez

VALDEZ, JUANITA GONZALES Juanita Gonzales Valdez, age 77, of Roswell, passed away on Thursday August 7, 2014. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM, Monday August 11, 2014 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Funeral service at 11:00 AM, Monday August 11, 2014 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Father Charlie Martinez, OSM will officiate. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. She will lie in state Sunday August 10, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at LaGrone Funeral Chapel.
Juanita was born on May 2, 1937 in Roswell, to Andres and Sostena Herrera Gonzales. She was one of seven children. Juanita married Daniel O. Valdez on August 19, 1957 in Roswell. She was a dedicated mother who raised 3 daughters and 2 sons.
She is survived by her husband Daniel O. Valdez. Her daughters, Estrella Star Martinez, Pearl Cruz, and Juanita and her husband Chris Alarcon, son, Daniel S. Valdez sisters Blacita Kinkle, Naomi Martinez, brothers Filomeno H. Gonzales and Roy H. Gonzales, all of Roswell.
She is preceded in death by her parents son, Johnny Valdez brother, Andres H. Gonzales and sister, Lupe Urbina.
Pallbearers will be Monica Martinez, Rick Vigil, Tina Allen, Daniel Suarez, Oscar Martinez, Pearla Valdez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Serafina Gustamantes, Star Martinez, Andrea Cruz, Vanessa Valdez.
