WELLS, JUANITA EMMA

Longtime Roswell resident Juanita E. Wells, 82, went to be with the Lord on her birthday, April 1, 2007. Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2007, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Pastor Danny Sons of Midway Assembly of God and Pastor Rich Wells of the Church at South Mountain, Phoenix, Ariz. will officiate. Juanita was born April 1, 1925, in Clinton, Arkansas to Prentice and Blanche Pack who have preceded her in death as well as her husband, Dale F. Wells. Dale and Juanita were married 64 years during which she was a devoted wife and caring mother.

Juanita is survived by two sons, Marlin Wells and his wife, Kathleen, of Roswell and Jimmy Wells and his wife, Jeanne, of Victorville, Calif.; a daughter, Kay Mitchell and her husband, Gary, of Glendora, Calif.; two brothers, Delbert Pack of Wheatland, Calif. and Jerry Pack and his wife, Connie of Modesto, Calif.; two sisters, Norma Clark and Lilla Conkle, both of Modesto, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Marie Cochran of Lamesa, Texas and Lucille Green of Roswell; three grandsons, Rich Wells and his wife Amber, Greg Wells and wife Felicia, David Mitchell and wife, Jaime and seven great grandchildren Jacob, Landry, Olivia, Aliya Wells, Emma and Allison Wells, and Asher Mitchell.

At the time of her retirement in 2003, Juanita was a senior employee of the Food Services Department of RISD. She was employed there for 31 years. She enjoyed the students and kept in contact with many of them throughout the years. She was a member of Midway Assembly of God Church and the Women's Bible Class.

Pallbearers will be Gary Mitchell, David Mitchell, Greg Wells, Jerry Pack, Doil McCreary and Gary Canon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Canon, Tom Carpenter, and Darrell Stacy.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 5, 2007, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel.

If friends wish to make a contribution, memorials may be made to Midway Assembly of God Church or RISD, Nancy Lopez Elementary School.
