Karen Mcmahon

MCMAHON, KAREN MAY- Karen May McMahon, 58, of Roswell, NM, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2018.

A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM, followed by a Memorial Mass celebration at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Assumption Catholic Church. with a reception after Mass.

Karen was a loving mother, a faithful daughter, and a loyal friend. She was a devoted Catholic with a deep affinity for the disciplines of the Franciscan Order. Karen loved to travel, appreciated natural beauty, and was an avid reader and writer throughout her life. She received her Masters degree in Social Work from Eastern New Mexico University in 2011, yet another step in a life dedicated to helping others.

Karen is survived by her children: Eric Arthur McMahon of New York, NY; Paul Stephen McMahon of Las Cruces, NM; and Clare Joy McMahon of Roswell, NM. Karen is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Ingrid and Gilbert Farnsworth of Lincoln, Nebraska, and her brother John Hofschulte Jr. and his wife Jean of Houston, TX. Karen was preceded in death by her father John Hofschulte Sr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for later distribution.
