CUMMINS, KEITH--A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 25, 2009 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Keith Richard Cummins, age 58, of Roswell who passed away on September 17, 2009 in Roswell. . BRBR
Keith was born September 7, 1951 to Jack and Dorothy Cummins in Troy, New York. They have preceded him in death, as well as a sister, Sue. E. Cummins.
Keith married Karol Quick on November 25, 1972 in Rapid City, South Dakota. She survives him at the family home.
Keith is also survived by his brother: Jack A. Cummings Jr. and his wife Linda of Schenectady, New York; his nephews: Jack A. Cummins III of Schenectady, New York and Kurtis C. Cummins of Troy, New York; a niece: Stacy Reohr of Schenectady, New York.
Keith served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1970-76. He subsequently served as a tank commander in the New York Army National Guard from 1978-81.
He joined Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York in the shipping and receiving department in 1978 where he stayed for the next 26 years until he retired on disability and moved to Roswell with his wife, Karol.
Keith had such hobbies as motorcycling and fishing but his true love was Major League Baseball and the New York Yankees. Since childhood, he had collected memorabilia of his favorite team and his idol, Mickey Mantle, whom eventually met and shook hands. And got a baseball signed too.
