Kenneth Reed Murrell, 63, beloved Husband and Father, was called to his eternal resting place on March 13, 2021. Reed was born in Roswell, NM, to John and Jammie Murrell in 1958. Reed attended Goddard High School, and worked as a construction and maintenance supervisor throughout the western United States.
Reed was a loving son, father and husband who enjoyed the outdoors and nature. He was quick witted, and had a passion for cooking and experiencing good food. He brought humor and smiles to everyone he was around, and was always ready for a good laugh. Reed was an adventurer at heart, and enjoyed traveling around with his wanderers spirit living life to the fullest.
In 2008 he married Tracy Murrell of the family home, and with their blended family had four children; Brandon Murrell (Becca), Joshua Murrell (Amy), Jennifer Thompson and Randy Lindgren (Roxanne) and 8 grandchildren; Roland, Natalyn, Clara, Emma, Olivia, Shayla, Ian, and Tarryn.
He is also survived by his parents Tom and Jammie Murrell; sisters Diane Sterrett, Judy Howell (Sammy), and nieces and nephew Corrie, Dona, Matthew and families.
A Celebration of Life to honor Reed will be held on Saturday, March 20th from 12-3PM at the Clarion Sally Port at 2000 N. Main St. in Roswell for friends, neighbors, and family to attend.
