Larry E. Mann, 53 or Roswell passed away April 11, 2010, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was born May 1, 1956 to Russell and Pauline Mann of Roswell. He is survived by his Mother, Pauline Mann of Roswell, his brother Russell Mann, Jr. of Roswell, his Aunt Belle Wilder of King City, Oregon, his cousins Terri Hall of College Station, Texas, Janet Reeves of San Angelo, Texas, Kathy Langley of Fort Worth, Texas, and Paula Ackerman of Indianapolis, Indiana, Josette Waller Linda Ward of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Ronnie, Bob James Boryska of Beaver, Oregon. Larry was preceded in death by his Father, Russell Mann, Sr.
Larry was a graduate of Roswell High School, where he was involved with the German Ski Clubs. Larry attended New Mexico Tech School of Mining in Soccoro, New Mexico. In 1975, Larry moved to San Francisco, California where he bought renovated historic Victorian homes. In 2000, he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to continue his business. He fought a courageous battle with cancer the last 10 months. He was cared for by his loving devoted friends Robert Gerdts, Dan Ross Frank Rubino, all of Fort Lauderdale. In his final days, Larry was surrounded by his friends and brother at the time the Lord welcomed him home. Larry will be remembered as an intelligent young man and good friend to many.
A funeral service for Larry will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, April 17 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery. Rev. Gorton Smith with First United Methodist Church will officiate.
