BURTON, LAURA BELLE Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Laura Belle Burton, age 92, who passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at her daughters home in Deming, New Mexico. Dr. Onsy Whicker will officiate. Family will greet friends at Lagrone Funeral Chapel on Monday, February 1, 2010 from 57 P.M.

Laura was born January 23, 1918 in Roswell to Minnie Emily Hall and Robert E. Lee Owen, who have preceded her in death. On October 28, 1933, she married Robert Boyd Burton in Carlsbad, who has also preceded her in death. She, alongside her husband, owned and operated motels until their retirement. Her membership was in the Baptist church.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Nellie Pruitt and Beulah Lasley.

She is survived by four daughters: Betty Jean Hobbs of Roswell, Clara Nell Brisco and husband William Dowin of Wildomar, C.A., Laura Sue Cooper and husband Ollie of Deming, New Mexico, and Roberta Mae Hernandez and husband Alfredo of Colorado also 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: Boyd Andrew Cooper, Ollie Cooper, Bobby Lee Hobbs, Boyd Wayne Hobbs, Charles Hobbs, and Alfredo Hernandez.
