DELNOBILE, LAVERNE -- A Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 16, 2008 at St. Peters Catholic Church, for La Verne DelNobile, age 87, of Dexter, who passed away Friday, October 10, 2008 at Covenant Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas. The Resurrection Mass will be 10:00 AM, Friday, October 17, 2008 at St. Peters Catholic Church. Fr. Paul Juniet will conduct the service. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.BRBRLaVerne was born July 24, 1921 in New Haven, Missouri to Lawrence and Hattie Smith. They have preceded her in death.BRBROn October 29, 1944, LaVerne married Henry DelNobile at St. Cecelia Church in Englewood, NJ. He preceded her in death in 2004.BRBRShe is survived by sons: Richard DelNobile and George DelNobile and his wife Cathy of Dexter; one daughter: Loretta Daly and her husband John Jack of Susquehanna, PA; nephew Joseph DelNobile Sr., of Manasquan, NJ, nieces; Deborah Tenenbaum and husband Steven and children of Manasquan, Linda DelNobile Menze and children of Park Ridge, NJ, Joseph DelNobile, Jr., and wife Melissa and children of Westwood, NJ.BRBROther survivors are cousins; Eunice Holtmeyer of St. Louis , MO, and Joan Westenmeyer, Washington, MO. Granddaughter; Amber Jones and her husband Cody of Roswell; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Michael Rice and Kisa Jones of Roswell.BRBRLaVerne graduated from Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing in Teaneck, NJ in 1944 and was a devoted homemaker and mother, active parishioner of St. John The Evangelist Church, Bergenfield and member of the Bergen-Passaic Association of Retarded Citizens for many years before moving to New Mexico with her husband in 1978. In Roswell, she was a parishioner of St. Peters Church, active in St. Jude Guild. She was known for saying the Rosary for residents of Casa Maria.
