GREEN, LINDA KAY -- Funeral services will be held for Linda Kay Green, age 58, of Roswell, on Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at 2:00 P. M., at First Baptist Church. She went to be with the Lord October, 28, 2007. Services will be conducted by Pastor Gerry Chaves of Christ Church.

Linda was born June 5, 1949 in Roswell to Wesley Estes and Juanita Harman Estes. Her father preceded her in death.

Linda Green married Duane Green August 3, 1968 in Roswell, New Mexico.

Survivors include husband, Duane; a son Jonathan and his wife Suzanne; two grandchildren, Karis and Declan all of Roswell, NM; mother Juanita Estes of Roswell, NM; one sister, Wanda Estes Hartman and husband, Roger of Tulsa OK; two brothers, Bob Estes and wife Nadine of Hot Springs, AR and James Estes and wife Terri of Scottsdale, AZ; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Linda began her thirty year special education career teaching for the New Mexico School for the Deaf for ten years. She held the position of Director of Special Services, Eastern New Mexico University at Roswell for fourteen years. Linda also served as President of the School Board for Roswell Independent School district for seven years in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The Green family would like to thank all of the medical personnel at Joe Arrington Cancer Center in Lubbock, Texas, Roswell Regional Hospital, Vista Care, family, friends and the body of Christ at Christs Church, Roswell, New Mexico for their support and prayers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gideons Bible Society International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.
