Loyd was born December 29, 1937 to Joseph Creamer and Winnie Battle Creamer in Dora, NM. A man of many trades and talents including salesman, auctioneer, sign maker, wood worker and barber, among others, even a published journalist. Loyd served his country in the United States Army from 1957 thru 1963. Proudly owned Creamer Western Wear in Deming, NM in the 1980’s.
Loyd married Joanne Burchett December 19, 1959 in Portales, NM. He was a great man with a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. Loyd loved his family and enjoyed telling stories to them all. He never missed an Alabama football game and enjoyed watching westerns with his wife, Joanne, of 63 years. Loyd also loved listening to country music on vinyl.
Those left to cherish Loyd’s memory are, his spouse, Joanne Creamer; son, Wesley Creamer (Jeanne); daughter, Pam Bell (Bob Ellis) all of Artesia, NM; daughter, Rhetta Hubbard (Gary) of Rhome, TX; son-in-law, Ron Davalos of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Beth Sikes of Lubbock, TX. Loyd was blessed with 10 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by Loyd are his parents, Joseph and Winnie; brothers, Ross and Keith Creamer; daughter, Theresa Davalos; sisters, Edith Hayter, Doris Porter, and JoNelle Jordan.
Honorary pallbearers will be his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
