GREEN, LUCILLE FRANCES- Graveside services for Lucille Frances Green will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 28th, at South Park Cemetery, under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel, and officiated by Pete Merlo of Tabernacle Baptist Church where Lucille was a member for 74 years.
Lucille Frances Brock was born in Anadarko Oklahoma on March 24th 1926. She passed from this world on to eternal life on December 22, 2020.
Lucille became a Christian in her early 20s. She married Douglas James Green in Portales, New Mexico on Sept 27th, 1941. After just a few months of marriage the newlyweds were physically apart for four years while Doug served in the Army, and Lucille built airplanes in Oklahoma City. They were married until his death on June 14th, 1994.
Lucille was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She is survived by one son Jerry Green and wife Mindy of San Angelo Texas. She was blesse with 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, also several nieces and nephews, three of which have been instrumental in her care. Jan Doss of Lamesa Texas, Marla McCreary, and Marlin Wells, of Roswell.
She was preceded in death by all of her siblings, Ona Wagner, Oola Mclain, Dale Wells of Roswell, Leroy Brock of Tuscon, Marie Cochran of Lamesa Texas and Wanda Misel of Lawton Oklahoma. Also preceding her in death was one grandson, Matthew Green of San Angelo.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Kindred Home Health and Hospice, who along with the staff of Avamere in Roswell demonstrated such care and compassion for Lucille.
