Private services were recently held for Mabel Terrell, 87, of Roswell, who passed away on April 5, 2014. A Roswell resident since 1951, she is survived by her husband of almost 63 years, Richard "Frenchie" Terrell; sons, Tommy Terrell and Albert Hill; and, their wives, Alice Terrell and Jean Hill. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to good friend, Alma Sample.
During a career which spanned over 40 years, she worked as both waitress and hostess at several local restaurants, including the Chuck Wagon, Cecils, BigT, the Roswell Inn, Wolfgangs at the Sally Port, and The Claim. After retiring, she enjoyed working in her large yard, looking after her dog and turtles, keeping a spotless house, and driving her 1967 VW Beetle.
