BOSSHART, MARIE Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Marie Bosshart, age 93, of Roswell, who passed away May 8, 2010. Pastor Randy Elftman will officiate with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.

Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel.

Marie was born May 22, 1916 in Guyman, Oklahoma to David and Hazel Brinkley. They have preceded her in death as well as a brother, Tom Ace Brinkley.

Marie married William Rex Bosshart, in Roswell. He survives her at the family home.

Marie lived as a young girl with her family in the Oklahoma territory until traveling to the Estancia Valley with them. She grew up on a Ranch there, attending school and becoming an exceptional basketball player for her high school. Marie then moved to California to start her adult life where during WWII, she worked for the Navy at Moffett Field as a Rosie the Riviter. Marie was also an excellent seamstress who worked for a time at Singer Sewing Machine Co. After moving to Roswell in 1948, she worked for Huffs Jewelry Co., C.R. Anthonys, and Knadles. Marie was always an outstanding homemaker and loving mother of two daughters. Marie and Rex had an exciting life with a wonderful career in the military. She loved to travel and had friends all over the country. Though she had many loves, the love and care of her grandchildren was paramount in her life.

She is survived by a brother: Pat Brinkley and his wife Dorothy of Albuquerque sisters Lettie Braudt of Phoenix, AZ, and Vay Bissell of Baton Rouge, LA children Ynaith Aileen Binns and her husband Robert of Kingwood, TX, Tasha Rae Olive and her husband Shane of Roswell, NM Grandchildren: Brendt William Baker and his wife Michelle of Roswell, Kelly Lea Funderburk and her husband Steve of Atascocita, TX, Robert Allen Binns Jr and his wife Rita of Huffman, TX, Jordan S. and Jared R. Olive of Roswell Great Grandchildren: William Tyler Funderburk of Houston, TX, Gregory Taylor Funderburk of Atascocita, TX, Brett Sterling Funerderburk of Atascocita, Robert Allen Binns III, Austin Edward Binns, Alycia and Matthew Mills of Huffman, TX and greatgreat grandson Jeremy Mills.

Pallbearers will be Brendt William Baker, Robert Allen Binns III, Austin Edward Binns, Gregory Taylor Funderburk, Brett Sterling Funderburk, Jordan S. Olive and Jared R. Olive Honorary Pallbearers will be E.J. Bennett, Ray Farley, Don Adams, Chick Murphy, Jack Davis, Steve Northrup and Chuck Berry.
