WRIGHT, MARJORIE HUNTER A. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Memory Lawn Memorial Park for Marjorie A. Hunter Wright, age 88, of Roswell, who passed away April 17, 2010. Garth Hyde, Vista Care Hospice Chaplain will officiate.
Marjorie was born on September 19, 1921 to James and Flora Hunter in Bradly, Oklahoma. They have preceded her in death as well all her siblings, Annie Stice, Gertie Lassiter, Bea Taulbee, Oma Stone, Florene Reams, Helen Pitts, James Floyd Hunter and Denzil L. Hunter.
Marjorie married Guy F. Wright on January 9, 1940, in Amarillo, Texas. He also has preceded her in death.
Marjorie was OwnerOperator of the Palace Drug Store in Roswell from 1946 to 1984. She was members of Roswell Samaritan Rebekah Lodge No. 141 O.O.F., She was the Deputy District President and held a certificate of past Noble Grand in 1959. She was a member of the Drove No. 155 B.P.O., Does of the Roswell Elks Lodge, she was a charter member of the Does and served as President in 1965. Then she was a member of New Mexico District South BPO Does and was elected as president in 1977.
She is survived by a son: Tom Wright and his wife Reta of Roswell Grandchildren: Guy Thomas Wright and his wife Sandra, Jared Wright and his wife Mindy, Billy Wright, and Edwin Aldridge. Step Granddaughter: Kelly Mysza and her husband Jim One great grandson and two great granddaughters.
The family would like to thank the care givers of Villa Del Rey and Vista Care for their comfort and care they gave mother while she was with us.
