Martha Bartlett

BARTLETT, MARTHA ARA Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Martha Ara Bartlett, age 92, of Roswell who passed away December 20, 2009 at her residence. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park.

Martha was born November 28, 1917 to Samuel E. and Emma Golightly in White Flat, Texas. They both have preceded her in death as well as a son, Jimmy Wayne Bartlett and a daughter Betty Louise Tricarico.

Martha married Ralph E. Bartlett, Sr. on October 5, 1936 in Dexter, New Mexico. He has also preceded her in death.

Martha is survived by four daughters: Janet E. Yates, Joyce A. Tutterow, Peggy Bartlett, and Tammie Bartlett, all of Roswell; one son: Ralph Gene Bartlett of Roswell; two sisters: Flora Bess Thompson of California and Dolly O. Martin of Reno, Nevada; 29 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, 31great great grandchildren and working on the 5th generation.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Dean Wilson, Ron Lunsford, Jerad Lunsford, Chad Lunsford, Brandon Tutterow and Freddy Rivera.

She was a housewife, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She would do without to make sure everyone else was taken care of. She will be greatly missed by all.
