Marvin Curry

CURRY, MARVIN W. No services are scheduled at this time for Marvin W. Curry, age 80 of Roswell, who passed away April 27, 2011 at Roswell Regional Hospital.

Marvin was born on September 22, 1930 in Hominy, OK to Louis Arthur and Elizabeth Batemen Curry, both parents have preceded him in death, as well as a son, Stephen Allen Curry.

Marvin married Billie Jean Curry on December 10, 1949 in Pryor, OK. She has also preceded him in death in 1998.

Marvin served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 32 Rites and a Rotary Member.

Marvin moved to Lake Charles, LA, He worked for J.C. Penney Co. and then moved again in 1969 to Roswell still working for J.C. Penney Co. He established his own Real Estate Company, BurnsCurry Realtors in 1969 to present. He was President of the Real Estate Association for one year in 1973 and then again in 1985.

Marvin is survived by a daughter, Pamela Lynne Weinstein and her husband Rick Charles of Roswell Granddaughter, Amanda Nicole Martin of Portales, NM brother, Carl Curry and his wife Billie of Pryor, OK and a nephew, Mike Curry and his wife Mary of Columbia, Missouri.
