HAMITER, MARVIN, ALVINGraveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Memory Lawn Memorial Park.

Marvin Alvin Hamiter, Jr. went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2009. He is survived by one daughter, Sherri Ann Hamiter in Garland, Texas; and a sister and brother, Verda Nell Wolfe in Lubbock, Texas and Robert Eugene Hamiter in Tyler, Texas. Also surviving him are several great nieces and nephews.

Marvin was born in Greenville, Texas on November 9, 1918. His deceased parents were Marvin Alvin Hamiter, Sr. and Winnie Davis Bass. Marvin was married to Thelma Katherine Argenbright on October 30, 1948 in Roswell, New Mexico. Thelma went to be with God on January 23, 1989.

Marvin was an active member for many years at the University Church of Christ in Las Cruces.

Donations to honor him can be made to the Christian Care Center in Mesquite, Texas or to the Parkinson or Alzheimer's organizations.
