Mary Busby

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Mary Frances Busby, age 93, of Roswell who passed away on March 6, 2013. Chaplain Cecil Kimberlin will officiate.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 10, 2013 starting at 1:30 p.m.

Frances was the eldest daughter born on June 7, 1919 in Comanche County, Texas to Pete and Ida Sparks. They have preceded her in death.

Frances married J.B. Busby on May 9, 1949 in Carrizozo, New Mexico. They had spent over 63 years together. He survives her at the family home.

She is also survived by her children: Cathy Clark, Barbara Feldman and her significant other Duane Sheppard, Judy Richards, Linda Gregory and her husband David, Blaine Busby and his wife Linda and Shaun Busby. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Frances at age two came to New Mexico in a covered wagon with her parents, finally settling in Dexter, New Mexico. She graduated from high school in Dexter and spent one year at ENMU. Frances came back home to take care of her mother and two sisters. She had fond memories working in the Dexter Post office in the 1940s. She spent her life caring for others, her mother, sisters, husband, mother inlaw and father in law, children, grandchildren and others. She was the center that the whole family revolved around.
