DUNN, MARY THERESE- Mary Therese Dunn was born January 13, 1933 to Mundun and Alma Rutter in Altoona, PA.

After graduating high school, Mary joined the Sisters of Charity as a Roman Catholic nun at Seton Hill, PA.  She was a nun for 20 years and obtained her master’s degree from Duquesne University in 1969. After leaving the convent she taught English in Pittsburgh, PA for 3 years before moving to New Mexico and teaching Reading and English on the Navajo Reservation for 3 years. After that she moved to Roswell and taught Reading and English for 20 years first at Mesa Junior High and later at Robert H. Goddard High School.

Mary loved the people in Roswell and counts so many as her friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Henderson and Jim Dunn.

Mary’s memory will be cherished by her sister, M. Constance Rutter and brother David Rutter who both live in California; 3 step-daughters, Allison Judd of Willis, TX; Patricia Bull of Aledo, TX;  Cherill Kent of Wauerka, OK; nephews, Andrew Karl of Portland, OR, Daniel Karl of Mesa AZ, David Rutter of Los Angeles, CA; nieces, Connie Robinson of San Antonio, TX, M. Margaret Howes of Killeen, TX, Sharon Rutter of Los Angeles, CA, and Kristen Kohser of Pennsylvania; also by many grand nephews and nieces.
