Services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church, Dexter for Michael Bradford Brad Harrell, age 28, of Roswell, who passed away August 29, 2007 in El Paso, Texas. The Rev. Stephen Deutsch will conduct the service. Interment will follow the service at South Park Cemetery.
Brad was born February 5, 1979 in Roswell, NM. He graduated from New Mexico Military Institute in 1997. Upon graduation Brad attended New Mexico State University and from there he went on to study in Alaska and internationally in Spain and Costa Rica. He loved to travel and his adventurous spirit also led him to France, Great Britain, Italy and Ireland. Brad enjoyed studying languages and became very proficient. One of Brads passions was cooking, and he attended the Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Scottsdale, AZ.
Brad loved, admired, and protected his family. He is survived by his beautiful daughter Whitney Elizabeth Brooke Harrell, his little sister Lexie Harrell, parents Gary and Connie Harrell of Roswell, maternal grandparents Jim and Bonnie Grassie of Dexter, paternal grandparents Ruth and Joe Harrell of Roswell, his great-grandmother Willeta Stanley, and a large loving family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.
Brad was an avid sportsman and gun collector. He loved to hunt anything that moved, and he loved to fish. Brad was also a chronic weight-lifter. He was known for his great sense of humor, beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Brad is a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Roswell and the Emmaus Community. De Colores.
