Michael Hillman

HILLMAN, MICHAEL EDWARD Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 16, 2010 at Roswell Civic Center for Michael Edward Hillman, age 18, who passed away April 12, 2010. T.H. James will officiate. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Assumption Catholic Church with Fr. Bill McCann officiating.

Michael was born on October 6, 1991 to Ronald and Licia Hillman in Boise, Idaho. Michael was a student at Goddard High School and he was going to be graduating with his GHS class in May. He was looking forward to State High School Rodeo finals in June and hopefully qualifying for Nationals in July. In the fall he was going to attend Oklahoma Panhandle State University on a rodeo and academic scholarship.

Mikes passion was rodeo and he was a talented athlete. He was a devout Christian with an incredible commitment to his dreams. He was a member of the New Mexico High School Rodeo Association and the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association. He competed in Saddle Bronc, Calf and Team Roping. Mike always wore a smile and he touched the hearts of all he came in contact with. We will all miss him.

He is survived by his parents, his sister Katherine Diane Hillman paternal grandparents: Mike and Peggy Hillman maternal grandparents: Ed and Marjean Duren: aunts and uncles: Helen and Gary DeMoss Michele Button, daughter Chelsea Laura and Jerry Boldt, children, Ryan, Natalie and Craig Stephen and Denise Duren, children, Grayson and Shae Kyle and Janet Duren, children, Kyla and Jarrett.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all their rodeo friends and local close friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Mike Hillman Memorial Fund at any Bank of the Southwest or to the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund.
