BAKER, MILDRED LINDSEY -- Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, July 17, 2009 at South Park Cemetery, for Mildred Lindsey Baker, age 93 of Roswell, who passed away July 13, 2009 at a local nursing home. Dr. Kenneth Thompson, son-in-law to Mildred and Rev. Matt Brooks of First Baptist Church will conduct the service.BRBRMildred was born October 27, 1915 in Wolf City, Texas to Noah and Olevia Douglas Carpenter Lindsey. Her parents preceded her in death.BRBRShe married J. C. Baker, Jr. on May 13, 1939, and he passed away July 22, 1989.BRBRSurvivors include a son, John Baker and his wife Denise of Lubbock, TX and a daughter Shirley Thompson and her husband Ken of Roswell. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.BRBRMildred had been a School teacher, and taught first grade for 25 years in Roswell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Roswell, and was a Ladies Sunday School Teacher.
