CLARENCE -- Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M.BRThursday, May 21, 2009 at South Park Cemetery, for Mary Edith Mrs. Clarence Emerson, age 85 of Roswell, who passed away May 17, 2009 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Pastor Danny Sons of Midway Assembly of God Church will conduct the service.BRBREdith was born March 14, 1924 in Greensburg, Kansas to Martin and Clara Ethel Eddins Goldman. Both parents preceded her in death. Also preceding her are daughters, Kathi Corn and Mary Emerson, a son Larry Emerson, and a brother Luther GoldmanBRBRShe married Clarence Monroe Emerson on June 21, 1941 in Roswell. He also preceded her in death.BRBREdith was a homemaker, and had lived in Roswell for 75 years. She drove a school bus for Pollard Bus Co. for 30 years. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles for many years, a member of Elks Lodge, the Chaves County Sherriffs Posse.BRBRSurvivors include 1 daughter; Kari Newton of Oklahoma; Son-in-law; Jon Corn of Roswell; a brother, Stanley Goldman of Roswell, a sister, Margaret Horton, of Roswell. Also surviving are In-laws, Sid and Sybil Emerson and Wynona Emerson of Roswell.BRBRGrandchildren are Michael and Amanda Corn of Albuquerque, NM, James Corn of Las Cruces, NM, Chris Young, Knoxville, TN, David Newton, Franklin Newton and Brandy Newton of SPAN styleFONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: black;
