Nancy Trainer

TRAINER, NANCY A.- A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, June 1, 2018 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Nancy A. Trainer, age 71, of Roswell who passed away on May 26, 2018 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Pastor Troy Grant of Berrendo Baptist Church will officiate. A Celebration of Nancy's life will follow services at The Roswell Elk's Lodge, 1720 N. Montana.

Nancy was born in Hobbs, NM to Pat and Nawasa (Sid) Hoover on September 12, 1946. She graduated from Hobbs High School in 1964 and Eastern New Mexico University in 1968. She married Gary D Trainer in 1966. Nancy was a resident of Roswell since 1970 and retired from the Roswell Independent School District in 2007 after 32 years. Nancy was preceded in death by her father Pat Hoover.

She is survived by her husband, Gary after 52 years of marriage; her son, Brian and wife Christa and triplet grandchildren Zachary, Kiersten, Shannon; her mother, Sid Hoover; brother, Pat Hoover and his wife Maxine; various aunts and uncles throughout Texas also, very special cousins Patsy and Roy Cutsinger. Nancy loved life and lived it to its fullest and had a great since of humor. Once when given a greeting card saying "To the most wonderful person in the world", she immediately agreed because she had a greeting card saying so.

At the request of Nancy, memorial gifts may be given to the Roswell Elk's Club Wounded Warrior Project. 1720 N. Montana, Roswell, NM 88201 or to the local Roswell Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 193, Roswell, NM 88202 in Nancy's name.

Pallbearers will be Darren Kuhn, Tres Featherstone, Bill Roberts, Jeep Jepson, Larry Courter, Lynn LeBauve.
