Nelda Buchanan

BUCHANAN, NELDA PAULINE Graveside services have been set for Nelda Pauline Buchanan, age 89, of Roswell, who passed away on October 7, 2011 in a local hospital. Services will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 2:00 P. M. at the Anton Cemetery, in Anton, Texas.
Mrs. Buchanan was born November 6, 1921 in Van Zant, Texas to Thomas J. and Selena Jacobs Wells. She married Clifford E. Buchanan on June 7, 1960 in Roswell, New Mexico.
She is survived by her daughter Nelda Ledbetter of Lubbock, TX, Iris Voorhees of Chester, NJ, Debbie Skipper of Roswell, NM and Fern Baker of Houston, AK and eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Gladys Posey of Comamche, TX and brother Bill Wells of Comanche, TX as well as her caregivers, Rose Chavez and Wyonona Chavez and their families of Roswell, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clifford , and three children.
Family requests memorials be made to the Roswell Humane Society at 703 East McGaffey, Roswell, New Mexico.
