Norma Klapmeyer

May 4, 1925 — February 23, 2011

KLAPMEYER, NORMA MOREHEADNorma passed on February 23, 2011 after a long illness. Norma was born in Tucson, Arizona, May 4, 1925.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Talmage and Sue Morehead, a brother, Edward, and her husband Herb Klapmeyer.

Norma served in the womans branch of the Coast Guard Spars during World War II. In civilian life she was a legal secretary.

Her son, Keith, her sister and brotherinlaw, Helen and Bob Bergmark, her nieces, Janice Snow and Susan Middleton and nephew, John Bergmark as well as great nieces and nephews survive her.

Norma was a bridge player and a lover of 40s and 50s music. She had great cooking skills, but enjoyed a night out at a restaurant also. She was a member of Roswell Elks Lodge 969 and her church was Aldersgate United Methodist.

Her family would like to thank caregivers, especially Diane Richardson for her loving care during Normas illness as well as friends who visited and made her last days more pleasant.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 5th at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
