Eulogy of : Peter Lewis Foskett
Peter Foskett, entered the United State Air Force on June 18th, 1963 at Oakland, California. Following his graduation from basic training, Peter was assigned to train as a Ground Radar Operator.
Upon completing his schooling for Ground Radar Operator, Peter was deployed to Vietnam and served 1 year and 6 months overseas. Peter returned state side and had attained the rank of E-4, he had served a total of 4 years and 2 months and on August 17th, 1967 he received his Honorable Discharge at Norton A.F.B. in California.
Four Months later on December 11th, 1967 Peter re-enlisted in the Air Force and the served as a Radio Operations Supervisor. During this term of enlistment, he attained the rank of E-5 staff SGT. And once again he was deployed to Vietnam and served 3 years, 2 months and 17 days.
While stationed in Hawaii at Hickman AFB, Peter completed another term of 4 years of Active Military Duty and on December 10th, 1971 received another Honorable Discharge and the very next day December 11th, 1971 Peter re-enlisted for a third term of four more years of Military Duty. He continued to serve as a Ground Radio Operation Supervisor and was deployed to Vietnam for his 3rd Tour. With the conflict still going on Peter served another 2 years, 5 months and 21 days in Vietnam.
After serving a total of 13 years, 3 months and 7 days SGT. Foskett received his third Honorable discharge, as well as a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Longevity Award, Air Force Medal.
Sergeant Peter Lewis Foskett’s, service was Noble and his purpose Honorable, and he will forever be counted as a defender of our nation.
