Raymond Naranjo

NARANJO, RAYMOND PAPA Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Grace Community Church for Raymond Naranjo, age 66, of Roswell, who passed away April 26, 2008, at Midland Memorial Hospital. Pastor Rick Hale will officiate.

Raymond was born January 25, 1942 to Manuel and Lucy Naranjo in Clayton, NM. They both have preceded him in death as well his grandparents: Eloy and Margaret Vigil; Nephew: Mike Naranjo; Niece: Wendy Lou Poling; In-laws: Floyd and Louise Mosier.

Raymond married Nancy Mosier on August 17, 1963, in Clayton, New Mexico. She survives him at the family home.

Raymond is also survived by his three sons: Shawn Naranjo and his wife Angela, Chris Naranjo, Mark Naranjo and his wife Laci; Brothers: Fil Naranjo and his wife Peggy and Tony Naranjo and his wife Francis; Grandchildren: Darby Naranjo and Emrie Naranjo and numerous nieces and nephews.

Raymond has been a Roswell businessman for 37 years in Construction, Farming and Ranching. He was a founding member of the Roswell Youth Soccer Association. He served as a past board of directors on the Roswell Youth Soccer Association, Roswell Chamber of Commerce, Roswell Sertoma Club, Southeastern New Mexico Builders Association, and Chaves County ETZ Since 1996.

Pallbearers will be Ignacio Nacho Lucero, Russell Weatherford, Truman Tucker, Shane Adams, Chad Hamill and Mark Hamill. Honorary Pallbearers are John Burson, Cody Burson, J.R. Allman, Russ DeKay, Bill Roberts, Adrian Trixer, Isreal Lopez, Chuck Wagner, Harley Daniel and Gina Yeager.
