YRIGOLLEN, RAYMUNDO MARQUEZ - Visitation for Raymundo Marquez Yrigollen, age 81, of Roswell, NM will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, November 5, 2018 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at General Douglas McBride Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Roswell, NM Honor Guard. Raymundo passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in Clovis NM surrounded by the love of his family.
Raymundo was only child born to the late Pedro Yrigollen and Gregoria Marquez January 23, 1937 in Artesia, NM.
Raymundo served with the United States Marines Corp in 1955 during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Deans Inc., as an electric motor tech. Raymond, also volunteered Grandpa at Artesia Head Start, and worked at Artesia Meal Site. He made friends everywhere he went and enjoyed collecting precious rocks and making jewelry. Raymundo loved dancing and liked going to casinos and taking trips to the mountains, most of all, loved spending time with partner Cora and family. He made and impact in our lives and taught us to never give up and work hard. It was never a dull moment with Dad/Grandpa, he will be missed dearly.
Raymundo's memory will be cherished by his wife, Santos (Acosta) Yrigollen of Artesia, NM; his life partner, Cora Archuleta, her son, Bobby Archuleta; his sons, Ralph Marquez (Dona) of Temecula, CA; Leonardo Marquez (Tracy); Phillip Marquez (Martha); Lorenzo Yrigollen (Marie); of Midway, NM; Pedro Gutierrez (Anyssa Granados) of Artesia, NM; daughters: Catherina Vigil (Louie) of Bakersfield; Christina Miles of El Paso, TX; Martina Silvas (Daniel Miranda) of Dexter, NM; Veronica Davila (Fernando) of Clovis, NM; Beatrice Romero (Ralph) of Odessa, TX. Raymundo was blessed with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Pedro Gutierrez, Brandon Silvas, Emilio Yrigollen, Yran Renteria, Samuel Renteria, Leony Jr. Renteria, Bobby Archuleta, and Lorenzo Cortez. Honorary Pallbearers are Stephanie Silvas, Alegria Renteria, Paola Renteria, Selena Perez, Maribele Perez, Alizae Yrigollen, Kristen Allen, and Daniel Miranda.
The Family would like to give a big Thank You to Cora and her son, Bobby Archuleta for the support they gave their father, Raymundo.
