Richard Cook

Richard T. TIM Cook joined his Lord Savior in Heaven Sunday April 13, 2014. His passing ended a long struggle in this life and he is now joyously whole in mind and body.

Services will be held at LaGrone Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 10:00 am. He will be interred later at South Park Cemetery. Butch Neil of Adventure Bible Church will officiate.

Tim was born Dec. 30, 1950 in Clovis, NM to J N Cook and Dorothy Strong Cook. He began his life on a farm outside of Melrose, NM. His family moved to Roswell when he was 7 where he graduated from Roswell High School where he played football and baseball. He had a joyful heart and a great sense of humor, and could crack one joke right after another. At the time of his passing, he was living at CARC in Carlsbad, and worked in the greenhouse.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Cook, his sister, Judy McDonald of Roswell, and his brother, Dan Cook in Oceanside, California, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, J N Cook and his oldest brother, William Cook.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons or the CARC of Carlsbad.
