Private services were recently held for Richard "Frenchie" Terrell, 85, who passed away on November 13, 2014. Born in El Paso, Texas, in 1929, Frenchie was a Roswell resident since 1950. Frenchie was employed with Mountain Bell for 35 years, retiring in 1984. He then worked as a private telephone contractor for a few years. Upon completely retiring, Frenchie preferred staying home with his wife, enjoying the beautiful house their years of work had afforded them, and keeping their yard in perfect shape.
At the time of his passing, Frenchie was survived by his sons, Tommy Terrell and wife, Alice; Albert Hill and wife, Jean; Richard Terrell and partner, George Whitaker; and, Stanley Terrell and wife, Sharon. He was preceded in death in April of this year by his wife of almost 63 years, Mabel.
The family would like to extend special thanks to good friend Alma Sample and the very caring staff of Comfort Keepers. Arrangements were under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be made online at lagronefuneralchapels.com.
