WHITE, ROBERT CHARLES RC--Robert Charles RC White, 93, of Roswell, NM and formerly Riverton, WY, passed away at his daughters home, Saturday morning, November 24, 2007, surrounded by the love and care of his family.
RC born October 9, 1914 in Colbert, OK to Robert Larkin White of Amherst, TX and Lou Emma Dunn of Ackerman, MS had five brothers and one sister. In 1934, RC married Lou Ella Henderson of Fort Worth in Fieldton, TX. RC and Lou Ella had five children, which included a set of twins, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great grandchildren.
RC worked as a welder in the ironworkers union which led him into establishing his own small business, Acme Welding in Riverton, WY. He retired from the union local 454 out of Casper, WY and was a member of the Elk Lodge in Carlsbad, NM and Riverton, WY.
Both, RC and Lou Ella enjoyed ranching, hunting, fishing, camping and traveling the United States. They also treasured their family; therefore, many of their outdoor sports became family adventures. RC and Lou Ella were fortunate in sharing numerous family reunions, celebrating many new lives, and celebrating impressive anniversaries with their last on August 14, marking seventy-three years of wedding bliss
RC is survived by his brother, Bob White of El Paso, TX, his oldest daughter, Margie Meyer and husband, Clarence of Albuquerque, NM, his son, Charles White of Roswell, NM, his daughter, Betty Otero and husband Joe of Roswell, NM and his youngest daughter, Emma Lee Jones of Riverton, WY. RC is also survived by his loving grandchildren, adoring great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous admiring nieces and nephews, as well as many other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Lou Ella, on September 28, 2007, his twin daughter, Patsy Kenney Kamboris of Casper, WY in 1981 and his three brothers, one sister and their parents.
A Thanksgiving Celebration of Life was held in honor of Lou Ella and RC on November 22, 2007 among their many family members. No memorial services will be held. However, a private gathering to lay ashes for both will take place at a later date in Wyoming. RC and Lou Ella will be sincerely missed, but their loving hearts and gracious memories will live on within those who love them.
