Ronald Hudgins

July 19, 1944 — February 20, 2007

RONNIE HUDGINS

Ronnie was born on July 19, 1944 in Snyder, Texas to James and Dorothy Hudgins. After losing his battle with lung cancer on February 20, 2007 at his residence, Ronnie went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He served in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1965. He worked many pipeline jobs and could operate any equipment ever made. He worked for Transwestern Pipeline many years and most recently for Roswell Job Corps.

Ronnie had lots of friends and family. You could always call him to fix anything. He was very down to earth, loving and simple. He enjoyed springtime and being outdoors, fishing, camping, boating, hunting and riding motorcycles were just a few of his past times. He loved cookouts and could make the best ribs and brisket ever. He will be missed so very much and we were all blessed to have him in our lives. We love you daddy, honey and grandpa.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorothy Hudgins.

He is survived by his loving wife of ten years, Sherry Hudgins. His daughters, Alisha Chavez and husband Derrick and their three daughters, Kaelie, Madison and Avery of Roswell, Ronna Shipley her husband Rock and their children, Lee and Alex of Texas. Four step-children, Kenny Williams and his wife of Roswell, Renae Yenter and her family of Colorado, Pete Loftin and his wife of Nevada, Johnny Loftin of California. Two sisters, Paula Davis and family of Texas, Jerri Lynn Halbrooks and family of Ruidoso.
