TAYLOR, RON Ron Taylor went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, February 4, 2019. Funeral services are scheduled for 11a.m., Monday, February 8, 2010 at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Dr. Geary Miller and Dr. Onsy Whicker will officiate, with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.

Ron was born on April 19, 1947 to Harold and Eva Frances Taylor in Martinez, CA. They both have preceded him in death, as well as a brother in law, Bill Tanner, a sister in law Sonja Young, a nephew Val Ray Young, and his great grandson Raphael Pride.

On January 31, 1970, Ron married Ynez Tanner, in Reno, NV. She survives him at the family home. They had just celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Ron was a Senior Journeyman Press Operator for James River Corporation. He was an avid fisherman and also had his own business, Illusions by Ron that was well known for his charitable performances, in which he had developed a unique way of presenting the Gospel to children at his and other local Churches.

He is survived by a son: Blake Tanner and his wife Dee Dee of Roswell, and their children James Tanner, William Tanner, Jacob Millsaps, Alexandria Millsaps, Felicia Tanner, Brandon Tanner, Rebecca Pride and her husband Ryan. Daughter: Jessica McGowen and her husband Bill of Roswell and their children Monica McGowen, Tyler McGowen, and Morgan McGowen one great grandson, Ryan Pride Mother and Father in law Etta and Jesse Venegas of Roswell Brother and Sister in law Curtis and Patti Venegas of Lubbock and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved so much.

Pallbearers will be: Bill McGowen, Tyler McGowen, Ryan Pride, Tejan Schaar, Jacob Millsaps, and Blake Tanner.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jesse Venegas, Curtis Venegas, Jeremy Venegas, Jesse Venegas, Jr., and Jacob Venegas.
